Prescription & Nonprescription Drug Nutrient Depletions
Prescription and nonprescription drugs can deplete the body of specific nutrients. The following is a guide to the most commonly used medications, prescription or otherwise, and the nutrient depletions that can result. We have added an additional column, “Vinco Recommends”, which is based solely on our recommendations, and in no way reflects the recommendations of James LaValle, R.Ph., CCN, ND or Stacy Yale R.N., B.S.N. Taking the nutrient in supplement form will help replace these nutrients. When taking medications, always check with your pharmacist or healthcare professional for possible side effects or interactions with other substances. Please note: Under Vinco Recommends, we are not suggesting taking each and every supplement listed in order to replace the specific depleted nutrients. These are merely suggestions based on ingredients provided, and you may pick and choose which supplement works best for your patient.
