PROFESSIONAL FORMULATION
Detoxify the Major Body Systems The kidneys and the liver are the major glands responsible for detoxification. Eventually everything that has passed through the blood and other lymphatic tissues will travel through one or both of these glands. When functioning properly, they allow our body to eliminate impurities from the system, allowing for better utilization and production of hormones and body chemicals, improved energy levels and resistance and recovery from inflections and disease.
Liver and Kidneys, 24 Hour Protection The liver is possibly the most important organ in detoxification. All the blood in the body passes through the liver, which removes toxins, impurities and debris from the bloodstream. The liver also uses enzymes to transform these substances into water-soluble material that can then be excreted through the gastrointestinal tract or kidneys. The kidneys are sophisticated trash collectors. Every day, your kidneys process about 200 quarts of blood to sift out about 2 quarts of waste products and extra water. This filtering occurs within tiny units called nephrons. In the nephron, capillaries intertwine with urine-carrying tubes called tubules. At first the tubules receive a combination of waste materials and chemicals that your body can still use. Your kidneys measure out these chemicals and can release them back into the blood, thus regulating these substances.
